The International Community Needs to Remove Unexploded Devices from Afghan Lands:
According to the report, parties to the Afghan conflict have failed to mark and remove unexploded ordnance, after undertaking military operations. In addition to killing scores of individuals, this negligence has cost Afghan civilians their limbs, eyesight, hearing, and other physical losses. Adding insult to injury, seriously wounded civilians are often unable to access adequate medical treatment, and, therefore, typically cannot continue working or attending school.
