Ghani Has 'No Sympathy' For Migrants

He said the social model in Europe had done well for Afghans – particularly for those in Germany.
"The push factors are a war has been imposed on us," he said adding that the withdrawal of foreign troops, along with their contractors, took away one million jobs.
Asked if the country was at war, Ghani said: "Yes it's a country that has become the platform for a regional and global war. We are at war, but not at civil war."
He also said al-Qaeda had "gone deep and dark but it is fully alive. Daesh is active here and has done atrocious things". He said at the time of his inauguration he warned of Daesh but that this "was ridiculed".
