Some Reflections

The Afghan authorities and their residual NATO
'advisers' have no answer to the Taliban Spring offensive. This holds true for Kabul and the provinces, an increasing number of which are now controlled by the Taliban.

The Taliban on the other hand are under pressure from ISIS.

The recent talks in Islamabad with Chinese and US observers present seem to have ended in impasse.

In the meantime, incidents occur daily in both rural and urban areas while ANA and military targets continue under-reported.
