Afghan attack: Gun battle in Mazar-e-Sharif - BBC News: 
The assailants are still inside the building, in the city of Mazar-e-Sharif, pinned down by security forces.
It is not known whether the attorney general was in his office, which is just 100m from the governor's office.
The governor's aid told the BBC that the governor, Atta Muhammad Nur, was at home at the time of the attack but was taken to his office, where he is monitoring the situation.
