'We're going in': Inquest hears of Afghan canal crash that killed four soldiers - Telegraph 

He said: "The vehicle swerved to the left and then it flipped over to the right hand side.
"It lasted a couple of seconds and the vehicle was instantly submerged with water.
"I was in a panic and my eyes were closed but I managed to sit up and push out [of the vehicle].
"I still had my body armour and felt the current pull me back.
"I managed to get out to have a mouthful of air. The Afghanistan National Police helped me out of the water.
