Provincial police spokesman, Hazrat Hussain Mashriqwal said the suicide bomber detonated a vehicle-borne improvised explosive device (VBIED) near the NATO forces convoy.
Mashriqwal confirmed that a civilian was killed and another civilian was injured following the suicide attack.
He said the NATO-led coalition forces did not suffer any casualties.
