Denmark Ends Afghan Mission

The Danish military Contingent (DANCON) deployed in support of the ISAF in Afghanistan has ended its mission in the war-torn country after 12 years. Mired in Koran-desecration controversy, the Danish contingent helped to make 'war torn' Afghanistan war torn.
Danish soldiers gathered for an end of mission ceremony aboard Camp Bastion as they bade farewell to their coalition counterparts last week.
The Scandinavian country deployed about 750 soldiers to serve as a part of the NATO-led International Security Assistance Force throughout the occupation.
