I am not a big fan of all this 'counting' business. It's like as if 1 is too many and 1000 is not enough. Is there a certain number of deaths before we should officially pull out. Lets make it 2145 deaths. Will there be volunteer to be #2145? I think not. Will his loved ones feel better because he was #2145? I think not. Will the commander in chief come for the funeral of #2145? I think not. Will #2145 have brought peace with honor? I think not. Now lets talk about the innocent civilian deaths shall we..........................................................................................................................................

The 'grim milestone' reporting is a gauge of just how superficial is the general level of reporting of foreign affairs in general.
