Bull shit. I remember when they couldn't wait to enter Afghanistan. The American people wanted to pulverize the whole country. I was called a traitor, coward, and other things when I said this was not the way to go about it. 9 out of 10 American would not be able to find Afghanistan on a map.
All true. It has taken 11 years in the US and over here for the truth to penetrate a large number of thick skulls. But the sting is the tail, as we both know, is that the governments could ignore the public revulsion. Stories planted by the securocrats on both sides of the Atlantic today are already fudging the deadlines for the retreats.
