Friendly Fire Death - Scottish Sniper Accused

Two and a half years later, still no truth or transparency over another bungled killing of 'suspected insurgents'.
The commander of Michael’s unit, Major Richard Streatfeild, told the inquest the tragedy happened after a corporal at the scene of the shooting asked permission to fire on a group of suspected insurgents.
But he said the radio log from the night did not mention any permission being given.
The major’s second-in-command that night, Captain Benedict Shuttleworth, added: “At about 9.05pm I heard Corporal Dolton talking on the radio, saying could they ‘go lethal’.
Soon after, Captain Shuttleworth said, he heard the words “man down” from the radio. Link
