US General James Mattis
Wonder where the urinating US Marines get their core values? "Be polite, be professional, but have a plan to kill everybody you meet." Yes, General Mattis is a bonehead's bonehead.
Then there was this from the miniseries, "Generation Kill," about how that abusive Patton-wannabe canned this "craven" colonel who merely wanted to protect his Marines from unnecessary risks. The regimental commander of RCT-1, Col Dowdy, was unceremoniously and expeditiously shown the door. And yes, this DID happen. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fTXzcILPPp8
Mattis is not a prick or a bonehead. Of course if you has any backbone at all you'd know that. You snipe at people from your safe little keyboards and have probably never taken any risk at all to preserve freedom.

ReplyDeleteHa, ha! Gen. Allen is, according to many, supposedly a "warrior-diplomat" in the mold of Maxwell Taylor. Mattis is, well, a prick.
