I actually don't think this strike is deliberate punishment, at least given the available facts. But the very act of crossing Pakistan's border remains explicitly deliberate: Washington can go and do whatever it wants. The potential kill of several dozen militants outweighs U.S.-Pakistani relations.

ReplyDeleteYes, James. I sometimes think the potential kill of one 'suspected militant' supersedes any strategic considerations by NATO. If they have any.
