US General Sacked

OEF 'Reconstruction Team' Inspecting Their Work
The top US commander in Afghanistan has fired a senior officer making inappropriate public remarks about Afghan President and his government.
The US Gen. John Allen, the commander of Nato troops in Afghanistan, issued a statement on Friday saying that Maj. Gen. Peter Fuller had been relieved of his duties as the deputy commander for the Afghan training mission.
In a recent interview with the website Politico, General Fuller characterised Afghan leaders as erratic, ungrateful and isolated from reality.
The interview quotes him as saying Afghan leaders don't fully recognise 'US sacrifices' on their country's behalf.

Erratic and isolated from reality would be a reasonable summary of the US invasion from day one, ten (yes ten) years ago. Fuller is only the latest bonehead to be removed. There are many left. Interesting that the Afghans are expected to be 'grateful'. Operation Enduring Freedom (irony alert).
