Futility In Afghanistan

Afghans think the United States is so powerful it could eliminate the insurgents anytime it wants. If 30,000 Taliban fighters can endure against a modern force that is four times bigger, there must be an American plot at work.
At one university, a group of students agreed that the phony war against the Taliban is just a ploy to occupy their country for its own use against Iran, China and Pakistan.  More.
