Obama announced during the night that OBL had been killed by US Forces. 'Not again', I hear you say. No need to add here to the hype which the MSM will divert to this away from the Royal Wedding. But a few thoughts and propositions:- They say his body has been 'buried at sea'. This is not as clever as the Pentagon and their PR machine thought it was. Where is the proof? Pictures? Another Sadaam execution moment waiting to happen. A tricky on for Obama to finesse. The birthers didn't even believe in his birth certificate.
- OBL is now officially a martyr. Look out for the Che Guevara-style T shirts in the ME a year from now.
- There will be hell to pay as AQ wreak their revenge.
- It will make no difference at all to the continued failures of US foreign policy and that of their lapdogs.
U.S. officials claim that they questioned the "appropriate scholars and experts" and reached a consensus on the burial at sea. Who exactly they talked to remains unspecified, but I would have summoned the foremost religious authorities in the Muslim world. A quick dump suggests that Saudi Arabia wanted nothing to do with the body.
ReplyDeleteHowever one need look no further if searching for conspiracies. Fake a sea burial to anger Muslims, then back-track on the photos because it's against Islam. Aside from eye-witness accounts, how can we know whether he was taken dead or alive?
I am reluctant to believe any of the 'official' version at the moment, James. A couple of further thoughts. Obama says OBL was 'responsible for the deaths of thousands of innocent men, women and children.' The hunt for him, and for revenge on him, by the US military and securocrats is responsible for the deaths of many more thousands, hundreds of thousands, of innocents. This is not lost on Arab or Muslim peoples across the world. The killing of OBL may be an electoral boost for Obama in his bid to stay in the WH but I see it being turned into a massive own goal by the hour. This event will not help America in any way.
