Yemen - Millions March In Protests

The GCC (Gulf Co-operation Council) countries - Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, UAE, Oman, Qatar and Kuwait - are extremely worried about instability in Yemen. The Saudi kingdom, in particular, has offered to host on its territory any negotiations between the Yemeni regime and the opposition. Saleh continues to live in denial and, like Moubarrak, promise change in the future.

  1. Saudi Arabia has drawn the Shia line in the sands of Bahrain.
Now they will concentrate on Yemen.
Lets not forget that Yemen is the ancestral home of the OBL family.
Why no word from OBL about Yemen. LOL

OBL left the building and the planet long ago.
But I am sure some one is working on a new tape as we speak. LOL

  2. I was just thinking the same of OBL - is he dead, where is he, what is he going to do. Although he may leave Yemen to Yemen.

As for Yemen itself, Saleh's party just accused the JMP of orchestrating a new riot under an "illegal march," while the GCC condemned "Iranian interference" in Bahrain and Yemen. That sums up today's events in Riyadh. The U.S./Saudi response as a whole matches Egypt's "orderly" transition. However, after Washington and Riyadh crossed up their policy on Mubarak, we're seeing a far more coordinated plot in Yemen.

  3. The deafening silence from OBL should be enough proof of his non existence to any one that still believes that he is still alive.

IMO the Saudi's will be dictating policy on Yemen not the U.S.

They know it is now or never for them.

The Egyptian drive to democracy is not a given.
