Jasmine Revolution - Another Strike Against the US and Their Thug Servants

  1. I'm somewhat surprised by the U.S. media's emerging narrative of the Obama administration's reaction to Tunisia - it's actually negative. Although no media can credibility praise the White House's response, there's a great number of reports claiming that the White House had to "catch up" on all of these incidents. Some anonymous officials have even gone so far as to admit they're overwhelmed by the situation. This just shows how clueless they were.

Even if Washington does the right thing - the inevitable - and lets Egypt and Yemen unfold of its own accord, and these leaders are replaced, the opposition is unlikely to assist U.S. foreign policy. Not every unpopular U.S. ally will fall, but this entire charade is more than a strike. It's a strike out.

  2. IMO
This is all as big if not bigger than the fall of the Soviet Union.

I have been out all day.
Trying to catch up on the news.
They will fall one by one.
This could be a true domino effect for the whole region.

Will the Sadat treaty with Israel stand once Mubarak is gone?

  3. I hope you are right, guys. The US wont allow their stooges to fall easily, though. They are working to align the unrest with the Muslim Brotherhood as hard as they can. The MB are there ok but they are not driving this. Did you hear Blair, 'Middle East Peace Envoy' (bah!) wheeled out by O yesterday to say that the 'unrest' shouldn't go in an 'extreme' direction. Subtext for islamic direction. That will be O's overt line in the days to come.I heard him on the BBC this morning appealing for 'fairness, justice and truth' in Egypt, 'an ancient civilisation'!! He really needs new speechwriters.
