Hallo Tony: That is a good find but I am noticing with a more general run round of the blogs your comment about the Drone Pilot story being 'surreal' applies a whole lot more.
Simple humanity seems to be deserting too many people and disinterest is letting it happen.
This is the same mind set that was in Abu Graib, Gitmo and other black op prisons that we do not yet know about. It comes from the upper echelon of command and is then filtered down to the lowest private. This type of rhetoric is what mercenaries tell their underlings in the field. The Muslim world hears and sees these words. And yet we wonder why so many fear that this is a crusade against Islam.
I believe the mentality is endemic in the US Military, RZ. I know you will agree it is none the less disgusting and unacceptable. An opportunity for Obama the Peace Laureate (how does that fit with 'fun to shoot people' now?) to show some leadership in cancelling the appointment. Will he take it? We both know the answer.
I felt sick when I heard this. What kind of people are in the command levels of the military now? They seem to be either psychos or toadies.
The law doesn't apply to them, the rules of military behaviour and engagement are bothersome and simply ignored. They simply do and say what they want and murder is considered funny.
