4 Civilians Killed in Latest Nato Carnage

NATO troops shot at a vehicle, killing four unarmed Afghan civilians in Khost province, reports Reuters. The civilians were killed as they drove in the direction of a NATO convoy and ignored warnings to slow down NATO's official statement said describing the dead as two insurgents and two "associates," a NATO spokesman conceded that the four may have been civilians. This shooting follows another similar incident last week in Kandahar in which NATO forces opened fire on a bus. Four civilians died while 18 were injured as a result. The U.N.'s envoy to Afghanistan, Staffan de Mistura, called the latest incident part of a "disturbing trend."The picture is of the funeral of the victims on 20th April.

  1. How many innocent civilians have died in Afghanistan, and Iraq?

What would that ratio be to the population of, oh, I don't know. Lets say U.S.A OR the U.K.

It just seems that nothing will stop this insanity.

  5. What's the position of the Lib Dems on the war, Tony? It looks like Nick Clegg is making himself noticed.

Our New Democrats were against this thing too, but they now seem lukewarm on doing anything about it.

If you're not using Mr. Clegg, could you please sent him over here? We're in desperate need of some inspiration.

  6. Hi, Filo. They are the only anti-war party and Clegg has been consistent on Iraq and Afghanistan since before the invasion. They will certainly get my vote as they did last time (and won in my constituency). Neil Kinnock the former Labour leader has blotted his book by making a 'let's move on' speech yesterday about Iraq, a subject which I believe has destroyed the soul of the Labour party. They will reap the reward in a couple of weeks. Hundreds of thousands of people like me have deserted them over the invasions and their noeocon support in the days of Bush/Blair. Brown is a surrogate Thatcherite and US lapdog whoever is in the White House. That alone will undo him in the election. The Lib Dems will hold the balance of power even if they don't win which I hope they do.
