12 Hearts and Minds NATO Can Forget

The surging boneheads of Operation Mushtarak won't have to win over this family of twelve anymore. Sir Jock Stirrup for the Brits said it was 'the last thing the British Army wanted'. I expect it was the last thing the victims wanted as well.

  1. News travels fast in Afghanistan. This is another recruiting tool for the "insurgents". I really do not know what to call them any more. I think of them as human beings that have lost their lives. "Collateral damage" is the political correct phrase. I doubt the Afghans are calling it that. They are probably calling it murder.
A drone went astray. This is how they are justifying these atrocities. Problem is, if they say it often enough the masses in the West will accept that phrase.

  2. Yes, RZ, the masses in the west have short memories and event shorter attention spans. The spinning of the massacres has started even more quickly than usual swallowed whole by the media slugfest which you have flagged up on your own site. 'Rocket system stood down', 'Terrible tragedy' blah. McChrystal for Nobel Prize next year?

  3. "These incidents represent some of the most difficult situations being faced by Afghan and ISAF forces conducting Operation Mostarak," A NATO spokeswoman said today. It's a shame for them isn't it, finding themselves killing these inocent civilians.

  4. Amazing! ! No matter what it is all their fault. NATO is an occupying force, not a liberator.
