An RAF helicopter crashed killing its pilots after striking an observation balloon's tether moments after aborting its landing because Afghan soldiers were playing football in the touchdown zone.
Flight lieutenants Geraint 'Roly' Roberts, 44, and Alan Scott, 32, died, along with three other people, when their Puma Mk2 crashed during a landing at NATO's training headquarters in Kabul.
