9 Dead in Suicide Attack in S.Afghanistan

Kabul, Feb 13 (Prensa Latina) At least nine people died today after a suicidal attack by the rebel movement Taliban against a military base in the Afghan southern province of Helmand.
The attack was carried out in the morning, when the driver of a vehicle loaded with explosives sacrificed himself and charged against an Army base in the district of Sangin, causing the death of four police agents and a soldier.
According to the report issued by the Army Corps 215 Maiwand, three other armed rebels tried to break into the camp by force after the explosion, but they were killed by the security forces.
This attack adds to the wave of armed clashes that has affected several Afghan provinces in recent months.
