12 killed in northern Afghan clash - Xinhua | English.news.cn:
"The clash erupted in outer sides of Dasht-e-Archi district early Tuesday morning after militants attacked a security forces' unit conducting patrol at the area. The skirmish caused 10 militants and two local policemen killed," the district governor, Sahd-u-din Sahdi, told Xinhua.
