2 Foreign Women Journalists Shot

BBC News - Two foreign journalists shot in Afghanistan:
"Two female journalists were shot this morning inside a district police headquarters, one has been killed, while the other is seriously wounded," Khost provincial spokesman Mobarez Mohammad Zadran told the AFP news agency."
Update:
Anja Niedringhaus, 48, an internationally acclaimed German photographer, was killed instantly, according to an AP Television freelancer who witnessed the shooting. Kathy Gannon, the reporter, was wounded twice and is receiving medical attention. She was described as being in stable condition and talking to medical personnel. - AP
