Major Richard Streatfield made rose-tinted broadcasts from Afghanistan for years platformed by the BBC Radio 4 Today Programme. Meanwhile British army mine detectors were training using broomsticks. John Humphries shredded him for the 'lies and propaganda' on Today this morning. But this had nothing to do with the search for truth. The BBC must have known they were colluding in a propaganda exercise throughout the nonsense. They are now, in the form of Humphries, trying to distance themselves from the fiasco now that Streatfield has blown his own cover in articles and a new book(needless to say).He was even trying to plug the book in the interview.
