Just Another Death In Kandahar

For 'Fog of War' read shooting dead 'suspects' (against the Geneva Convention). Just another poor Afghan killed for possessing an old transistor radio. 'Very sorry that that happened...' the guy says. Thanks for that one. Apologies for the commentary which comes, as you will hear, from a war groupie.

  1. Reminds me of a story that might as well serve as a proverb for America's entire war in Afghanistan. Years ago, when the search for bin Laden was still relatively hot, U.S. forces killed who they initially believed was OBL in an Afghan village. An investigation team was sent to the village once this information turned out to be false. U.S. troops had simply killed the tallest man in the village, known as "tall man." Apologies (and excuses) were issues and U.S. troops continued on their way.

  2. I just do not know any more.
    This insanity will never end.
No one, but no one, is held accountable.
    Except for the dead.

Now it seems as though our whole morals of society are in a coffin.

  3. Sorry for killing your dad - here's some money. Just about sums up US foreign policy on the ground for some time now.
