British Government Coalition Grovels To Israel

Gaza Bombing Victims
Britain's foreign minister has pledged that the UK will quickly amend a law that has allowed UK citizens to request arrest warrants for visiting Israeli officials over war crimes.  William Hague, in Israel on Thursday, said that Israeli officials could be sure they would not face arrest in the UK. "We are quite clear that there is no problem in any official travelling to London," Hague told Israeli channel 10 TV.

Hague's comments were likely aimed at reassuring Israeli leaders after they suspended an annual strategic meeting in Britain last month due to fears they could be arrested under the principle of "universal jurisdiction". Peace activists and anti-gangster state advocates in Britain have sought the arrest of Israeli officials under the principle, which allows courts to prosecute alleged war crimes from elsewhere in the world.

While no cases have gone ahead, Israeli officials have cancelled multiple trips to Britain over the matter. Good riddance to them and any other gangster state representatives who are schmoozed by Hague and the other coalition toadies.

On Wednesday, Yigal Palmor, an Israeli foreign ministry spokesman, confirmed that Israel had postponed the annual "strategic dialogue" with Britain in protest over the law. This was a humiliation to Hague who was less than a mile away.

It was reported in the UK media earlier this week that Dan Meridor, Israel's intelligence minister, cancelled a trip to London over general concerns he risked being arrested. Local media speculated that the potential arrest was in connection with Israel's brutal raid on a Gaza-bound aid flotilla in May. In January, Gordon Brown, Britain's useless prime minister, pledged to change the law.
This followed Tzipi Livni, an Israeli opposition leader who was foreign minister during the 2008-9 war on Gaza, cancelling a trip after a warrant for her arrest was issued, provoking a diplomatic spat. She said, when Israel was taken to task by the more conscentious journalists for dropping phosphorous bombs on civilians in Gaza - ' Let us finish this work.'.
'This work'? I rest my case.

Shame on the UK once again.

  1. The Israeli web of influence reaches far and deep into the bowels of Western governments, and financial systems.

As long as all reads lead to Tel Aviv.
There will never be a path toward sanity.
