'Suspected Militants' - New Weasel Phrase from NATO

The U.S. coalition said Friday its forces killed 11 'suspected militants', including 'the leader of a bomb-making cell' during an operation in southern Afghanistan.
The raid happened in Kandahar province on Thursday. Locals claimed most were ordinary shopkeepers. 'Suspected Militants' is the phrase NATO now uses for everyone they kill in their regular incompetent and reckless bomb and drone attacks. "They were civilians - most of them I knew were vendors selling stuff in the district," a resident who gave his name as Mohammed Saleh told AFP by telephone. A district official said hundreds of people had demonstrated against the U.S. operation, blocking a main road for several hours and burning tyres. President Karzai, who issues empty condemnations of these events almost daily, last week attended a memorial ceremony for three Afghans killed in an overnight raid in Khost province. Afghan officials said the three were innocent civilians; the U.S. coalition said they were militants or linked to the insurgency. This would make it stange for Karzai to be attending the funerals.

'Gunner' Brown Flies In

'Hey. You up there. I'm going home and you're not'

Brown visited the beleaguered troops yesterday on the day the News of The World claimed the Taliban are a threat to our Christmases yet to come. The idea is so bonkers that Gordo/Neolabour might even take it up as a theme.

NATO - Massacres Make Prizes

Here's the massacre for today:

Why don't NATO and their US mentors reward or decorate their troops for the daily cock-ups and atrocities they commit? Oops - they already have!

Brit Revenge On Civilians

This took place 24 hours after two British marines were killed. This kind of collective reprisal on civilians is a pattern for NATO. The Germans do the same thing when they suffer a rare casualty

Narchitecture in Afghanistan

Drug moguls are building personal palaces in areas of Afghanistan where people have no jobs. The US anti-narcotics cops have called it narchitecture but they are doing nothing about it. Karzai knows them all.

300 Brit Military Dead in Afghanistan and Iraq

The two British Marines killed last week in Afghanistan brings the number of Brit soldiers killed in the useless wars to 300. You would think recruits and potential recruits, however stupid, might have woken up to it. You know, the lack of equipment, the friendly American fire and lack of a mission or strategy, that kind of thing.

Bonehead Massacre No 751 - Karzai Condemns(Again)

I thought this was a late report of the US massacre of security guards two weeks ago. Should have known it was another episode of blood-soaked incompetence and lies.

Daily NATO Atrocity - 24 Guards This Time

At least 24 security workers at a construction site in Afghanistan's Ghazni province have been killed in US air raids. The deputy governor of the province southwest of the capital Kabul called Sunday's incident a "brutal attack". A provincial government source told the Reuters news agency that US-led forces had called in an air raid after fighters attacked several posts operated by the security company that guards the road construction project. The US military said it called in the aerial bombardment after its forces came under fire, but cannot at this time confirm the identity of the victims. The latest air raids come just days after the Afghan government said an attack by US-led forces killed nine Afghan soldiers in the southeastern province of Khost.
Hundreds of civilians have been killed in operations by Nato and US-led international forces this year, according to Afghan officials and aid groups.

9 Afghan Soldiers Latest NATO Victims

On the same day as NATO claimed to have killed 'dozens of Taliban' the difference between the stories is that this incident actually happened.
